The Mont Blanc glacier is Western Europe’s highest mountain range.
It has 11 peaks above 4,000m in France and Italy and attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists every year.
The mountains of the massif consist mostly of granite and gneiss rocks
Glacier du Tour is a glacier located in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc region of the French Alps, situated in the Mont Blanc massif
The glacier lies at an altitude of around 2,300 to 3,300 meters above sea level.
