Researchers from the Department of Sociology, university of Oxford, have compiled the first ever ‘World Cybercrime Index’, which identifies the globe’s major cybercrime hotspots by ranking the most significant sources of cybercrime at a national level.
According to a study published in the journal PLoS ONE, India Ranked 10th in the World Cybercrime Index
Russia topped the list of cybercrime with frauds involving people making advance fee payments being the most common type
Russia followed by Ukraine, China, the USA, Nigeria, and Romania.
