Tri-service exercise Tiger Triumph
Tiger Triumph is a bilateral tri-service humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) exercise currently underway between India and the United States.
It began on March 18, 2024 and is scheduled to continue until March 31, 2024 on the Eastern Seaboard of India.
Purpose: Enhance readiness and cooperation between the Indian and US armed forces in responding to humanitarian crises and natural disasters.
Activities: The exercise involves both a harbor phase and a sea phase.
The harbor phase focuses on training visits, exchanges of best practices, and planning for simulated disaster relief scenarios.
The sea phase will involve practicing maritime operations and disaster relief procedures at sea.
Participants: The exercise includes personnel, ships, and aircraft from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as their US counterparts.
Tiger Triumph serves to strengthen the India-US partnership and improve their ability to work together in providing humanitarian assistance during times of crisis.
