The Archaeological Survey of India on Friday conducted a survey of the controversial Bhojshala/Kamal Maula Mosque complex.
These situated in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh and made preparations for using carbon-dating equipment, officials said.
A 15-member ASI team along with police and district administration officials kept the site ready for scientific assessments following a Madhya Pradesh High Court directive.
The court, on March 11, directed the ASI to carry out a “scientific survey” within six weeks of the complex, a medieval-era monument that Hindus believe is a temple while the Muslims call it Kamal Maula Mosque.
