The reserve is known for its dense sal forests, waterfalls, and wildlife.
It is home to a population of Bengal tigers, as well as Asian elephants, gaurs, and chousinghas.
It is the seventh largest tiger reserve in India.
The reserve is home to over 400 species of birds.
There are more than 60 species of mammals found in the reserve.
The highest point in the reserve is Meghasani peak, which is 1,515 meters (4,970 feet) above sea level.
