The first visuals of the 41 workers trapped inside the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand since November 12 came out.
On Tuesday after an endoscopic camera was sent in through the six-inch pipe which was drilled through the debris blocking the tunnel on Monday.
Silkyara is a part of the Char Dham project.
The Chardham project is an infrastructure development project launched by the Government of India in 2016 to improve road connectivity to four Hindu pilgrimage sites: Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.
Silkyara Tunnel
Silkyara Pass is a mountain pass which connects Uttarkashi and Gangotri Dham via NH 108 in Uttarakhand, India.
The pass is located at an elevation of 2,300 metres above sea level.
The pass is situated in the Garhwal Himalayas and is famous for its scenic beauty.
It is a popular trekking destination and offers stunning views of the Himalayas.
The pass is also an important pilgrimage site for Hindus as it is located on the route to Gangotri and Yamunotri Dhams, two of the Char Dhams.
