Ahead of the 15th anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Israel on Tuesday listed Pakistan-based militant organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba as a terror outfit.
An official announcement from Tel Aviv said the move is in sync with Israel’s attempts to support a global war on terror.

Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) literally Army of the Good, translated as Army of the Righteous, or Army of the Pure .
LeT is a Pakistan-based militant Islamist Salafi jihadist organisation.
LeT is one of Pakistan's "most powerful jihadi groups", it is most infamous outside Pakistan.
LeT is primary stated objective is to merge the whole of Kashmir with Pakistan.
LeT was founded in 1987 by Hafiz Saeed, Abdullah Yusuf Azzam, and Zafar Iqbal.
LeT runs a large network of training camps and madrasas throughout Pakistan.
LeT is also known to have operational links with other terrorist groups, such as al-Qaeda and the Taliban.
LeT has been responsible for numerous terrorist attacks in India and Pakistan, including the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, the 2008 Mumbai attacks, and the 2016 Pathankot attack.
The group is also suspected of involvement in the 2019 Pulwama attack.
LeT is a highly dangerous terrorist organization that poses a significant threat to regional and global security.
The group is well-funded, well-armed, and well-trained.
It is also highly motivated and committed to carrying out terrorist attacks.
