Originally UNSC consist of 11 members of total 51 membership.
Now its 15 members and 193 total membership.
This one change ever made to the original Charter was in 1965.

Challenges, disputes, and historical rivalries impeded in UN structure.
UNSC is the most powerful body of the UN, with the primary responsibility for maintaining international peace and security.
It is composed of 15 members, five of which are permanent, and ten of which are elected by the UN General Assembly for two-year terms.
The veto power of the permanent members:
The five permanent members of the UNSC have the power to veto any resolution.
This is regardless of its support from other members.
This has been criticized as giving these five countries too much power and influence over the UNSC.
The underrepresentation of developing countries:
The ten elected members of the UNSC are rotated among the UN's regional groups.
This system does not ensure that all developing countries are represented on the Council at all times.
This has led to calls for greater representation of developing countries on the UNSC.
The lack of reform has also made it difficult for the UNSC to respond effectively to new challenges.
Terrorism
Climate Change
Nuclear Threat,
War
Border issues of countries.
As a result, the UNSC has been criticized for being ineffective and irrelevant.
