Paintbrush Swift
The paintbrush swift (Baoris farri) is a small butterfly found in India.
It has a wingspan of about 25-30 mm and is characterized by its long, thin tails.
The male has a black upperside with white markings.
The female is brown with white markings.
The paintbrush swift is a fast flyer and is often seen darting through the forest undergrowth.
It feeds on the nectar of flowers and is attracted to brightly colored blooms.
The larvae feed on the leaves of grasses and other plants.
The paintbrush swift is not considered to be threatened.
Wild Bhattiyat Project(WBP)
The Wild Bhattiyat Project is a community-based conservation initiative launched in 2022.
Introduced by Bhattiyat Forest Range of the Dalhousie Forest Division in Himachal Pradesh.
