The TAPAS UAV, developed by DRDO, is a Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle.
It has an impressive range of more than 18 hours and can operate at altitudes of up to 28,000 feet.
It can fly autonomously or be remotely controlled, depending on pre-programmed flight plans.
It can also be operated in both day and night conditions.
TAPAS UAV crashed in Chitradurga district, Karnataka.
