Shaheedi Park
The Shaheedi Park at Delhi, redeveloped under the waste-to-art theme.
It is the first outdoor museum park in India.
The park has been developed using 250 tonnes of metal waste and spending Rs 15 crore received from the Centre.
It will focus on the history of India in different eras.
There are nine sets and three galleries developed in the park, including 93 2D sculptures and 20 3D sculptures.
The 4.5-acre municipal park, which showcases scrap-made sculptures of freedom fighters and other eminent personalities.
This is the third park developed by the municipality on the “waste-to-wealth” theme, with the previous two being ‘Seven Wonders Park’ at Sarai Kale Khan and ‘Bharat Darshan Park’ at Punjabi Bagh.
