Bhagirathi River
The Bhagirathi is a turbulent Himalayan river in Uttarakhand.

Ganga rises near Gaumukh in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, and it is known as the Bhagirathi River.
The Bhagirathi joins the Alaknanda near Devprayag, when it becomes known as the Ganga.
Mandakini River
The Mandakini River is a tributary of the Alaknanda River in Uttarakhand.
The river runs for approximately 81 kilometres between the Rudraprayag and Sonprayag areas and emerges from the Chorabari Glacier.
The river merges with river Songanga at Sonprayag and flows past the Hindu temple Madhyamaheshwar at Ukhimath.
At the end of its course it drains into the Alaknanda, which flows into the Ganges.
The Mandakini is considered a sacred river within Uttarakhand as it runs past the Kedarnath and Madhyamaheshwar temples.
The Mandakini is subject to heavy rainfall, especially during monsoon season.
Potential for flash flooding.

Pindar River
The Pindar River is a river located in Uttarakhand.
Pindar originates from Pindari Glacier which is located in Bageshwar district of Kumaon region in Uttarakhand.
Pindar river mouth is located at Karnaprayag where it ends by its confluence with Alaknanda River.
Tons
The Tons is the largest tributary of the Yamuna.
It flows through Garhwal region in Uttarakhand, touching Himachal Pradesh.
The Tons thrust is named after this river.
