Manaskhand Circuit
Tourism initiative in Uttarakhand aimed at developing and promoting tourist destinations in the Kumaon region.
It seeks to enhance the tourism infrastructure, facilities, and experiences in the area, showcasing its natural beauty, cultural heritage, and religious significance.
The circuit takes its name from “Manaskhand,” which means the region of the mind or soul.
It aims to generate economic opportunities for the local communities and promote sustainable tourism practices.
The circuit includes popular destinations such as Nainital, Almora, Ranikhet, Mukteshwar, Kausani, Binsar, and many more.
Popular destinations:
ALMORA: Here, pilgrims can immerse themselves in the divine aura of temples such as Jageshwar Mahadev, Chitai Golu Devta Temple, Suryadev Temple, Kasar Devi Temple, and Nanda Devi Temple.
PITHORAGARH: The ancient Patal Bhuvaneshwar Temple and Haat Kalika Temple in Gangolihat are known for their spiritual significance and intricate carvings.
BAGESHWAR: The revered Bagnath Mahadev Temple and Baijnath Temple.
CHAMPAWAT: The Rudreshwar Gufa, also known as Cave Temple, Purnagiri Temple and the Barahi Devi Temple in Devidhura.
NAINITAL: A popular hill known for its tranquil lakes and scenic vistas. The revered Naina Devi Temple located on the banks of Naini Lake, The Kainchi Dham Temple.
