Beki River
Beki River also known as the Kuri Chhu River in Bhutan.
It is one of the right bank tributaries of the mighty Brahmaputra River, which flows down from the Bhutan region but a large portion flows in Indian state Assam.
Beki is Bodo origin. Bengkhi means feminine form of Bent.
It has been the source of both joy and sorrow for the people of Kalgachia town in Barpeta district by changing course and ‘bending’ more almost every monsoon season.
